Gullivers Travels Part 4 Essay

Gulliver's Travels Part 4 EssayI continue my study of Gulliver's Travels with my essay, 'In Search of Biblical Egypt,' for Part 4. In this essay I consider the question of why Israelites chose to enslave Gilead. I would like to describe what I believe is an original sin in the minds of Israelites:In the opening lines of Part 4 I briefly identified the initial sin in the lives of the people of Israel. The initial sin could not have been their capital crimes but rather their inability to free themselves from slavery to Gilead. I will proceed to show why Israelites chose to work for their own enslavement. In the first paragraph of this essay I stated that in the modern time of our world, 'Christians are a persecuted minority.' This is an accurate statement. In Part 4 I will attempt to demonstrate why Christians are a persecuted minority and not necessarily the majority. In light of modern technology, our country has become a very intolerant society. In Part 3 I made it clear that I publis h this essay in the online journal to which I subscribe, CELT. In this online journal the author is able to interact directly with his readers. If you wish to be notified of new installments of this essay on this website please visit my author page.In Part 2 I presented a list of questions concerning Gulliver's Travels. The list is included in Part 3. My essay, 'In Search of Biblical Egypt,' in Part 4 addresses a number of these questions and explores the relationship between Israelite slavery and Egypt in general. The essay presents both historical and biblical evidence to help answer the questions raised in Part 2. I have included brief quotations from the Bible as well as Biblical references in Part, in order to support the argument I present. In Part 3 I provided a brief review of the background to Gulliver's travels. In this essay I review the background of my discoveries concerning Israelite slavery. This background includes such factors as historical truth regarding Israel's E xodus from Egypt, the Antiquities of the Jews and the Dead Sea Scrolls. For Part 4 I will present the findings I have uncovered regarding Israelite slavery, that these facts cannot be disputed, are compelling and also that Israel was a more primitive civilization than believed. I believe this essay will change the way in which the 'Christian' religious majority views these issues. In Part 2 I addressed the question of why did Gulliver and Israel choose to enslave a foreign nation. In Part 3 I provide several historical answers regarding the history of Israel. In Part 4 I present another set of historical facts and provide additional information regarding Egypt, specifically the Israelites, in the ancient times.
